I guess it isn't your fault. I guess you are a talented girl, and when your mates noticed that, they felt a little bet scared (you are a threat, ENJOY ;) )and that's their right ;)

Lsn, Just be yourself, work hard, stand for your rights, and you'll be Just Fine my dear...

I have to say, that no need for you to built friendships with others at the beginning, such bonds will be built in time dear :) So don't feel stressed :)

Hey, i didn't know that you are working :D

Anyways when i had my 3 months training in a Jordanian company here every thing seemed to be nice and everyone liked everyone else, but that was just the first impression which lasted for 2 weeks or a little more. After that things started to show in an ugly way :D. Most of them talked on others' back, most of them hate each other and plans to hunt them down. My conclusions just don't give a judgment until you live with those people for a quite a good time. Just like your month.

The way I see it is as follows:
1) Guys remain nice because you're a girl, potential 3aroos
2) Girls might feel intimidated if you're smarter or prettier than them
3) Girls might feel bad if you're going to replace them
4) Girls might think you're not qualified for the job and it's the "Wasta" that got you there
5) You might be new, therefore trying to prove yourself and by that threatening to expose their laziness.
6) Points 4 and 5 contradict each other. And seeking to prove one will definitely end up putting you in the other!

My advice .. continue to be nice ... with time they'll get to know you and respect you as colleague and not as a threat

Yesterday I avoided them as much as I could! But I still don't think it's the right thing to do

Ola welcome to the work world 7abibty :-)

Believe me , just be yourself and dont let them change you; you will be the best and at the same time they will love you and respect you.
