plus it was a rugby match mate. if you called it football they would have had a laugh.

TH14, apologies. As I said in the blog either football or rugby do not interest me any longer so just saw a match on a green field and a ball kicked...:-)
This is not what the post is about though, it is about how sports, particularly football (and rugby), became more political and nationalistic rather than globalising and diminishing differences.
About Wetherspoons, I live in a small town and compared to other pubs, I found it in addition to another one named WALKABOUT to be more elegant. Just a personal observation.
