Salaam Alaikum my Beloved,

Waking up in the early morning light, a half hour before you. watching you sleep, and smiling at the thought of getting your coffee/tea and breakfast for you. Sitting softly on the bed next to you, calling your name lovingly and ever so softly coaxing you out of sleep. Hearing Alhumdulllillah fall from your lips first, then seeing the warm smile creep across your sleepy face as I tell you its time to pray. Watching you submit before the Raab of the Alamin in cool, crisp darkness. Hearing you weep in gratitude. Softness, humbleness, a gentle touch. Watching the intenseness on your face as you tell me a new concept, the excitedness in which I interupt you with as my mind wraps itself around this new concept and the gentlness in which you answer my questions. Sitting in the window waiting for you to come home from work and the longing that accompanies me throughout the day as I miss you. Contentment. Asking Allah five times a day to guide you, so that you may guide me with wisdom and love. Sitting at your feet with my head in your lap, feeling you stroke my hair as we listen to a lecture together. Laughing untlil our sides hurt. Doing good deeds with you by my side.The gentle firmness in which you deal with me when I am being childish. Your acceptance of my wandering mind. My acceptance of your wondering mind. Being able to ask why and getting an answer. Watching you lead me spiritually and knowing you would never mislead me. The example you set for all men, the example I set for all women. tasting the Quran instead of just reading it.Feeling the Quran instead of just seeing it. Rumi. The blue crystal leafed tree in Jennaah. Reading to you when your eyes are tired. Joy. You wiping tears from my eyes. Forgiveness.Protection and a peace of mind. Warmth. Knowing that with your happiness comes my salvation and knowing you would never abuse that. Being comfortable in my skin. Never feeling lust for you.Completion. Soft whispers. you slaying my dragons. Seeing the illusions. Waiting for you in the dark. Love....Unquestionable devotion and love.

Oh My Allah Guide Me!

To my dearest Beloved,

Sometimes...love isn't fireworks...sometimes love comes softly. it is within this soft love I have found you. When I have finished my prayer as I am still prostrating to my Lord , upon my soft mat of blue velvet, I turn my face to the right and lay my cheek against the softness, though the space next to me appears empty, my hand reaches out to touch yours. As pearls fall from my eyes, and the velvety softness of the mat carresses my cheek, my soul see's you and feels you so very near to me and I tremble.

Somewhere....the journey began long before...from the time I breathed my first breath with my cry to Allah...PLEASE DON'T SEND ME, I DON'T WANT TO GO, I WANT TO STAY WITH YOU...He softly whispered...oh my dearest Noor you must, such a journey i have in mind for you!! OOOH! How my soul wept. A hundred thousand times I would endure that seperation from Allah for a brief time in this world with you....my missing half. Allah knew and it is why he sent me. All that has come before was in preperation for you my love, every hardship, every tear, every hurt, every pain...I would gladly endure ten fold if at the end I could hold your hand and approuch our Allah together, as pearls of joy escaped our soul.

Somehow...I have always been yours...where your body is mist in the mountains, I am the green grass it falls upon, kissing it gently and nourishing the very roots of my being..Ya Allah! please do not deprive us of this cycle of life!! Please let us continue to nourish and give each other life through you....Ameen

I stand before you my love, my teacher, my soulmate, reclaiming what has always been mine....what has always been yours. Our Love. I ask you to take my hand, and never let the fingers of time pull us apart ever, ever again. from Allah we came and to Allah we shall return...this time Together. Ask and I shall never leave your side, Ask and I will always be your bride, Ask and this love, never shall I hide, Ask and by Allah I will always abide, Ask...and I will forever be your Noor.

Ponderings of a Heart

In my center lies a heart
Not the one that beats, but the one that sings
Forever it has sung a song that has no begining and no end
This song ebs and flows like the ocean
Who also sings a song kept in time with the moon,
who orchestrates the beats of the waves
with its outstretched light.

In my center lies a heart
Not the one that lives because of me
But the one that lives in spite of me
This is the one that speaks
the language that the face of the moon speaks
to the water
It finds its due course, through the mountains,
rocks, vally's, and hills
Back to wence it came.

In my center lies a heart
It reaches to places unkown to me
I feel like the ball of string at the end of the kite,
who lifts itself ever higher
To touch the face of Allah
No longer do I, the ball of string, wish to hold the kite
firmly in place, just out of reach of the touch,
The touch that would end the kites journey
as it burst into laughter..

Can you hear it?
Luaghter so beautiful, tinkling like the purity of a child
Laughing...

Paradox of Our Time

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less. We buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke to much, spend too recklessly, laugh to little, drive to fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get too tired, read too little, watch tv too much and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life, not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space, but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast food and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days ot two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose to either share this insight, or to just hit the delete. Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone wo looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say "I LOVE YOU" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind
