Dear Ramoy's blog,

Been a while huh?

Let's start with I am sorry to have neglected you like this, what to do, marriage kinda took me away for a while. Or maybe I didn't have much to say. Honestly maybe I had too much to say that I didn't know where to start from.

Last time I blogged was mmmmmmmmm like 8 months ago or so... I do miss sharing my thoughts, getting insights and taking advice from our friends and fellow bloggers!

Let's start with the whole marriage thing.. well let's sum it up and say " recommended" go ahead!! It is tough with all the responsibilities that come along but their is nothing better on earth than these moments where you share the good, the bad, and the ugly with someone :)

No kids yet and nothing on the way! heheh just in case my mother or mother in law are asking :)

Work is cool!! and that is why I've been away for a while. Work got really hectic! Dont know where to start from but yah TOUGH days were at the office :) I guess that period of terribly hard work and late nights are on a break now! :)

Anyways , I miss you, Hope you missed me too..

Let’s start from the wedding .. 14^th of April :)

It was gorgeous! I enjoyed every moment in it.. even the stupid ones.. they made us laugh like crazy.. God bless our families who were very happy and thank God they did not express it using tears. Heheh God bless our friends who have turned our dance floor into mmmmmmmm I don’t know what you call it but it was rocking HOT! God bless the DJ he was awesome… God bless the saxophone player he was just so cute J God bless the photographer .. am sure he will make me look slim! God bless our love! Oh oh and God bless the make up artist too! And the zaffeh people! And everyone who helped organise! And everyone who gave us moral support! And special thanks to mohammed, maher, Ihab, Amjad, Moosa, NABHAN, Loai, Feras.. ( ALL OF THESE ARE AMJAD’S Friends) Dana, Rodaina, Abdullah, Yara, Hala, Lama, Noor, Isam, Jawad, Jaher, MUHANNAD, Hosam, Wesam, Basma, SANA ( MY FRIENDS) and many many others who were continuously coming up with stuff to make it a better wedding.

Everyone went crazy on the wedding including older people with heart conditions. By the end the guys took off the ties and jackets and the girls took their heals off .. including the bride who was wearing a 19 cm heal, but the photographer MADE her wear it back as she was too short and would not really appear on cam!

We were watching the DVD of the wedding last night and just couldn’t stop laughing!

The honey moon:

We didn’t travel far .. we stayed close by… Fujairah(UAE) and Khasab(Oman). I loved both.. some activities we did were : swimming, tanning, water sports, snorkelling, partying, Shisha, and lots of food!!! Elhamdullilah it was blessed!

We got back to work yesterday… only physically though.. I cant seem to put my brain together for work yet.. but will get there at some point I just hope it is BEFORE I get fired :)

The wedding pics are not out yet but the minute they are ready will post the best ofcourse J I did see them already though and they look niceeeeeeeeeeeee!

Yalla back to pretending to work… trick is … stare at your screen with that SERIOUS look on your face and say something like : “ I cannot believe this guy!” while looking upset and angry at your screen!

10 Days to Wedding!!!

1- THANKS for asking :)

2- Well, with the new job and the wedding preparations things can be very very hectic! I seriously have no time for ME anymore..

hala2 the good news is that my job is going pretty well or atleast this is how I feel about it hehehe

and THE BIG EVENT of my life is approaching and becoming closer and closer! and I am almost done with my preparations...

It is on April 14th ... yes ana 7ab2a 3aroosa on April 14, 2007 :)

Honestly it has been difficult lately as work takes most of time and to prepare for a new home is not so easy .. and to tell you the truth ana I am a panic freak!! majnooni rasmi!

I am not scared of marriage nor that I think Amjad is not the right choice because he definately IS THE ONE but.. it is the CHANGE, the new responsibilities and the new time management schemes that are keeping me awake!! YES awake.. I dont sleep ya jama3a looooooooool.. ya jama3a I do not know how to cook!! ya jama3a esh asawi!!!

A typical bride's attitude before the wedding I guess, and maybe I am taking it too far! heheh but some of the things happening makes you discover a lot about YOU:

Reema is a control freak!

Reema worries too much!

Reema thinks the world is perfect!

Reema wants everything to be perfect just like world she lives in!

Reema can be very aggressive and stubborn and stupid when she wants something!

Reema can be understanding sometimes :) !

Reema is trying to loose weight but it seems that she is a mafjoo3a after all!

Reema can be so self centered

I visited Jeeran.com once. Saw this blog thing. Read Khalidah's post on LOVE. Got inspired, thought about it for a day or so, GOT MYSELF A BLOG :)

Social Manners: You don’t see a lot around!

Having good manners will serve us all well! Why have we gave up on that? It shocks me! It is simple and doesn’t take a lot of effort but still people won’t put in the extra brain cell to respect others and above all respect themsleves. To me it is the simple little things that you do that show what kind of person you are. Call me detailed but yah it is always the little things that matter…

Look around you and start thinking: How many people use the MAGIC KEY Words to being polite??

"Thank You"
"Please"
"May I ... "
"Excuse Me"
"I'm Sorry"

It wont kill you if you say thank you nor welcome! It wont kill you if you say please when you are asking someone for a favor! It wont kill you to say MAY I instead of do this or do that! And EXCUSE ME!! And AM SORRY! Maaaaaaaaaaan noone uses these words anymore!

You know what is even more RUDE!

1- You are standing with a group of people. You being the only one who does not understand their langtuage and all of a sudden they start speaking using a language you have no clue what it is aslan!! Well that’s RUDE!! Even if they didn’t mean it! They should watch out!!! Be careful!! It won’t kill you!

2- You are standing with a bunch of people and your friend who has invited you doesn’t introduce you nor introduces others to you.

3- Using offensive language at offices! Not everyone wants to hear that even if it was okay in YOUR culture!! And by the way I don’t know what culture allows people to swear and say terrible stuff at each other in public!

4- Not listening is rude!

5- Not saying Good morning when you are walking into a place is rude!

6- If you are driving on 170 km/hour and want everyone out of your way and start giving them high and low lights you are a mal mannered person!

7- If I am standing in a queue and you jump in front of me you are definitely rude!

8- If you look at me and say why do you wear THAT ( meaning my scarf!) well that’s RUDE! That’s a VEIL.. now you know what THAT is!

9- When you spit on the road that’s rude.

10- When you pick up your phone in a movie that’s rude!

11- When you are in a meeting and your phone rings that’s rude!

12- When you pretend that you are busy and I can see you roaming around the office doing nothing.. that’s extra rude

13- When I smile at you and you don’t smile back,, guess what?? Am not after marrying you nor making best friends with you.. am just smiling at you so smile back!

14- When I’m at a mall and your shoulder hits mine and dislocates mine and you don’t say sorry that is EXTREMELY rude!

15- When I tell you a secret, and you don’t keep it!! Mmmmm 2ellit adab!

16- When you come for a meeting.. dress in a formal suit! NO cleavage!! Because I consider that rude and offensive!

17- Talk with respect! I don’t care if you have problems I don’t care if you have issues but when you talk to me do it with respect, because if you just look bored, angry, or not in the mood then that’s rude!

18- When I am in the elevator going down to ground floor and you are on the ground floor waiting for the elevator. Please wait until im out of the elevator and then squeeze yourself in :)

That’s all I can think of right now….

Yesterday at 9:00 AM at Dubai courts we were officially announced Husband and Wife:) Amjad and Reema.

Amjad always told me that yes we do love each other and we have all the understanding in the world, but to make it through life and its ups and downs we had to share something greater, which is the love of God that would keep us going on.

I always had that in mind and felt great yesterday not only because we got officially married but also because Amjad witnessed a person's conversion into Islam.

After Katb the Ktab we were waiting for our marriage certificates and a man comes to Amjad and asks him if he could witness his son is law's conversion into Islam and Amjad did it :)

We felt blessed :)

Well After checking with the Insurance company it turns out that my car is dead!!

Won't be repaired and I would require a new one!! :( :(

It all started in 2004.

New Year's Eve 2004: Reema was driving down the Airport Road and then BANG hits into a truck and gets hospitalised later for the whole JANUARY.

New Year's Eve 2005: Reema's mom was seriously sick and traveled to Lebanon to get into an operation THE NEXT morning!

New Year's Eve 2006: Nothing happened :) I was on a break or something :) But the whole year was tough.

New Year's Eve 2007: My friend called at 12:05 and she said " oh my God reema I cant believe you are SLEEPING" :)

I went out today the 1/1/2007 to roam around and have some fun with my brother and mmmmmmmmmmm

We were stopped at the light signal waiting for it to turn green and out of NOWHERE .. HONESTLY nowhere.. really nowhere!!! really! a taxi is coming right at me SPEEEDING!! I was actually looking at the guy in the mirror and the 7maaaaaaaar taxi driver just HITS me at appx. 80 km/hr BANG a BIG BANG! A BIG BIG BANG :) so what to do now??

Step one: put your car on P

Step two: pull up the handbrake

Step three: GO DOWN AND GIVE THE GUY THE WORST TIME OF HIS LIFE

which i did until my brother says : " Reema we are next to Burj Al Arab, not very good for tourists to see!"

anyways the Taxi driver didnt really know what I was saying since it was in arabic and English which are both languages he wouldnt understand!!!

We called the police and toward the end the police guy says : " your car looks better this way" kan 3ambenakkit ya allah!!! he was trying to be funny! but I sure did give him the look that says " MISH WA2TAK YA SEGE3!! " :) poor guys he was just trying to cheer me up....

I graduated in 2004 from University and this is my third job already! not much of a keeper but anyways that's not the point here.

so what's the point?

okay,, the point is.. in the previous 2 jobs I worked with Men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, and more men!!

I have had it with men!

I have never had a female colleague, and now I have PLENTY of them!

Guess what? IT IS FUN!!!

Women stories: the usual stuff: oh I’m dieting and I am craving for a KFC, Or my husband did this did that,Or my mother in law is in town and she is giving me hell, or oh that shirt looks great where did you get it from? Or OH my God that guy is the cutest at the office, or my fiancé is going to kill me and I’m not spending so much time with him or your hair color looks great, or or or .. it goes on forever!

Women morning sessions: (saba7iyyi ) we gather up for coffee in the morning. The chats the laughs the stupid stories…. Feels good :)

Women touches in an office: teddy bears, greenery, popcorn, decorations…. You can always tell when it is a woman’s desk.

Women alliances: They could all like you or hate you. If they like you then you are lucky if they don’t awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww tooo baaaaad. They start gossiping about you. Whenever you pass they would have to comment. No matter how gorgeous you might look they would still find something to point out as not so good. They would actually give you a nickname sometimes. We have Miss Butterfly at the office.. why?? I think it is the way she walks! Hehehe that was a funny story to hear!

It is nice being around females like me….. and if you were not a female you wouldn’t really understand!!!
