The Guardian reports that 54% of Afghanistan
is under Taliban control and they are getting closer to Kabul.
They are of the opinion that soon the country will fall into the hands of
Taliban.

Their reports are absolutely true. Taliban now control 90%
of the Afghanistan.
The US backed government has been confined to Kabul. The reports published in the western
media about NATO success are untrue. The fact is that Taliban has severely crushed NATO and
American forces. American
and NATO forces are hiding the actual figure of the soldiers died in action. According
to the special report of Arabic magazine
‘Al-ittehad’ , Taliban will announce their government in November , 2008.

Karazai admits that due to rampant corruption among the
government officials. Afghan public has lost faith in the government and they
turn towards Taliban to redress their woes.

We are witnessing construction boom in Kabul and other cities where villas are
springing up. All these villas belong to government officials and members of
the parliament.

Let us see how Mr. Karzai stop government officials and
parliament members from sucking the blood of poor Afghan people.

Pakistan’s
interior Ministry spokesman asserted that a foreign country was responsible for
the situation in Swat. He added that a foreign country was supply arms and
ammunition to militants in Swat.

Although , he did not divulge the name of that country.
However, a local Pakistani
magazine Takbeer reported that Afghan government is behind the terrorists
activities in Pakistan.
The magazine wrote that the Afghan Interior ministry had formed a cell to fund
and train militants to destabilize Pakistan.

NATO and the US-led coalition have failed to bring peace and
stability in Afghanistan.
Mounting civilian causalities are creating resentment among Afghans. Highways
and cities are not safe. Taliban suicide
bombers have forced well-armed NATO and US-led Coalition troops hide inside
their bases.

In my opinion, peace will never come to Afghanistan
unless the US and western power include Taliban in their talks. They made a
blunder after Bonn
conference by giving representations to warlords to counter Tablian.

President Bush has made a request to the U.S. Congress for an extra $46 billion Iran and Afghanistan. He says money is needed
to provide resource to American troops to do their job perfectly.

The present Administration has spent more
than $455 billion in war without any results. The Congress should him where did
he spent this huge money.

In my opinion, all the money went into the pockets of
American politicians, military contractors and corrupt officials. If they had
spent this money on Afghan and Iraqi people, they would have killed bin laden
and associates.

The US insists that Iran is arming
Taliban insurgents. U.S Defense Secretary Robert Gates has
expressed the similar opinion.

The top US commander in Afghanistan,
General Dan claimed on Thursday that they had intercepted a convoy carrying a number of advanced technology improvised explosive devices from.

However, Afghan Foreign Minister Rangeen Dadfar
Spanta made a shocking statement on Friday that there was no evidence of Iran’s
involvement in arms smuggling. They say Afghan intelligence are investigating the
case but so far they have got no evidence that Iran is behind these arms
smuggling.

Chatham House researchers, a leading British foreign affairs
think-tank, opine that NATO is unable to beat the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan,
because of lack of resources and planning.

They are of the opinion that NATO and coalition have failed
to o develop a "coherent approach to deal with the Taliban.

In my opinion, NATO and coalition do not want to solve the
problem. They want to keep Afghanistan
in perpetual crisis to justify their presence in Afghanistan. Even a fool knows that
they are here to contain China
and Iran.
They also want to keep an eye on Pakistan , the sole Muslim nuclear
power.

I am shocked at the silence of international community over
execution of 15 prisoners in Afghanistan.
Western countries used to make hue and cry over the executions carried out by
the hard-line Taliban regime from 1996 to 2001. Now
the Afghan government installed by the western powers is carrying out same
thing.

The UN registered its protest
over the executions and expressed disappointment at the executions. However, Kabul government’ spokesman
told bluntly that it carry out similar executions in future.

It is also important to note
that the chairman of Afghanistan's
human rights organization alleged their cases properly had been properly
investigated.

Once again President Karzai has showed interest
to engage in dialog with the Taliban to end the six years of bloodshed.

He made this offer to Taliban on Monday and requested Pakistan to
help establish contact the Taliban leadership. It is heartening that the
Taliban have positively responded to this offer. The spokesman said that they
were ready to talk in the ‘national interest’.

President Karzai has been under pressure to start
negotiation with the Taliban since may, after Afghan senate passed resolution
calling for ceasefire. They were of the opinion that fighting had failed to
bring any results.

I hope this dialog could lead to peace, because Afghan
people have been suffering for 27 years. They need peace and tranquility .

People are calling Jirga , a stepping stone towards peace
and stability.

In my opinion, the Jirga was a complete failure. Will they be able to destroy the sanctuaries of terrorists?

People who attended the Jirga are not in a position to fight
the militants. Taliabsn virtually control those areas. In some areas ,they are
dispensing justice and settling administrative rows.

According to Lt
Col., David
Hammand , a trainer of the Afghan National Army in Helmind. He said :

“A Taliban fighter gets $800 US per day. While an Afghan
Police and Army man get $4 a day."

Do you think they will sacrifice their lives for 4 dollars ?

Speaking at the concluding session of the Pak-Afghan Peace
Jirga on Sunday,President Musharraf
said that no all Talibans are diehard militants and fanatics. He said that they
were ignorant and misguided defy the most fundamental values of our culture and
our faith Islam.

I agree with him. We must focus on isolating those diehard
militants who reject reconciliation and peace. The only to do so is to start a
comprehensive political and development. Otherwise we will not able to defeat
extremism and ‘Talibanisation’.

The ousting of the Taliban regime five years ago was widely
believed to mark a new era for Afghanistan.
The United States
claimed the removal of the Taliban as a humanitarian duty, and promised to
deliver enduring freedom to the Afghan people.

But the situation in Afghanistan
tells us the US-led international community for Afghanistan were not in line with
those of the Afghan population.

Five years of international involvement in Afghanistan has
not improved the day-to-day lives of most Afghans. Millions remain terrorised
by poverty and die of preventable diseases.

Henry" says we may have to remain in Afghanistan for decades to
protect Afghans from the Taliban. Our ambassador in Kabul--Sir Sherard
Cowper-Coles, KCMG, LVO, to be precise--apparently sees no contradiction
          in this extraordinary prediction.

The Taliban are themselves
mostly Afghans, and the idea that the British Army is in Afghanistan
to protect the locals from each other is a truly colonial proposition.
It's what we said about the Northern Irish in 1969. Anyway, I thought
we destroyed the Taliban in 2001. Wasn't that the idea at the time?
Isn't that what Lord Blair of Kut al-Amara, our new man in the Middle
East--who will grace us with his first visit next month--said back then?

Who is response of this surge in opium production in Afghanistan?

Opium production in Afghanistan increased almost 50 percent. The United
Nations Office on Drugs and Crime disclosed this in their report, which was
released today in Vienna.

UNODC Executive Director Antonio Maria Costa said that the
insurgency-plagued southern province of Helmand is becoming the center of
supply.

production in Afghanistan is now controlled by the Pashtun
since the downfall of the Taliban in 2001. Taliban religious

This would have many advantages. It would save the government the odium that is hiding the truth. It would also help establish its credibility.

Father of Taliban says that Afghans fighting a war of independence

The
Chancellor of Pakistan’s notorious Madrassass, Darul Uloom Haqqania , says that
Afghans are fighting a war of independence.

He
considers US and its allies invaders and is of the opinion they should be
kicked out of Afghanistan.

He wants Karzai government should talk to Talibans and other Jihadi forces for a
durable peace in Afghanistan.

In response
to a question he said that the cause of friction between Pakistan and Afghanistan is due to presence of
American forces in the area.
